Hose & Garters
Kilt Hose are the traditional socks which accompany Highland Dress.
Coming up just below the knee (three fingers' width) and folded down once, there are many styles and colours to choose from. The most common are plain or self-coloured hose. In general, bold colours such as bottle green go well with Modern tartans, lovat green and lovat blue go well with Ancient colours, and charcoal goes with everything.
The ranges featured below are proudly manufactured in Scotland. They are available in an array of colours and styles and can be paired with coordinating garter flashes (see Garters). These hose are knitted in a wool/acrylic blend. They also feature a fully reinforced foot and are machine washable at 40° C.
